Super Water Slide

Oliver found this super slide the other day at toys r us really thought it looked fun. He twisted my arm a little and I got it for the boys. They love being in the water and outside, so I thought it would be perfect for a little fun this summer. They had a BLAST today! I can't wait until my big belly is gone so I can try it out myself. It entertained them for hours.

Krispy Kreme...YUMMO!

We took the boys for their first experience at Krispy Kreme. Clayton really wanted to go to the donut store down the street, but we assured him he would love the experience. He is more of a kolache man. Krispy Kreme did not disappoint. They loved watching the donuts being made.

To be honest, I am a bigger fan of Craver's donuts down the street. But, we had fun!

37 weeks...almost

16 days to go....I had my 37 week appointment today. No changes from last week. Dilated to 1 almost a 2, not effaced, still really high (-3). The doctor guessed that he is probably going to be bigger than my little 7lb Oliver, but not quite as big as Clayton was. She is estimating high 7s. I have a sono next Tuesday, so I will know a little more about his size then. After my appointment, I went to checkout and make my next appointment and they told me that next week is my last appointment. I cannot believe it is coming up so quickly. In my mind, I think I am still 20ish weeks pregnant and wondering why I am so huge and uncomfortable. My hospital bag is complete, finally bought a baby book, room is done....my to do list is checked off as of right now. I am so ready to meet this baby boy!

Genius Dad

My Dad is a GENIUS! He can build and fix anything. Today he took his relaxing afternoon and spent it teaching my hubby how to change a rotor and break pads. Thanks, Dad!! You are AWESOME!

These pictures take me back to my teen years when my Dad had me stand next to the car while he was fixing it and teaching me while the entire time I am thinking, "Seriously, Dad???....." Wish I had listened and maybe I could have taught Joel a thing or two.
Now I can drive to work without everyone staring at me due to the loud growling sound the truck was making.

Memorial Day

We had such a fun and relaxing Memorial Day. We swam all day long. For some reason, our bodies are all red after wearing 50 spf all day.....could it be user error?? I love spending the day with my family.

Oliver ready to slide.
Clayton and Macey chilling in the pool.
Clayton and Emily
Elliot's Memorial Day debut. Please, no laughs. My sisters insisted. One hot momma!!! LOL!
Sweet P-sters
Olivia loves the pool.
Jenni and Mom relaxing in the shade.

We look forward to many more relaxing days at the pool this summer.

36 weeks!

I cannot believe I only have 3 weeks left! Induction is scheduled for June 11th at 6am. I am so ready! I am dilated to 1 cm, so that's a start. I had an incredible baby shower this past weekend and now have everything I could ever need....a new swing, a carseat, bathtub, pacis, baby toys, diaper bag, burp cloths, bibs, blankets, bottles.....so much stuff. I also started packing my hospital bag. It seems to be coming so quickly. And, the room is finally finished. It looks so so so cute!

I recovered the rocker glider (it was in pink minky) and my Dad painted it brown.

My awesome Dad also repainted the toy box in the right corner. My Poppa Joe made it for me when I was five years old. My Dad padded and covered the top with fabric. It looks great!
I got several cloth diapers at the shower and a diaper sprayer (awesome). I ordered the rest I think I will need and got them in the mail today. I finally got the courage up to wash them. For some reason, I thought I was going to screw it up. It really wasn't too bad. The only bad thing is that the manufacturer of the diapers now recommends line drying the covers, so I had to stick them all outside to dry. I left them out for an hour and they were done. I am now stuffing them and getting them ready for baby!

Creations by Clayton

I thought it would be neat to let Clayton paint the artwork for the nursery. He is so creative and loves to draw. It ended up being a little stressful for me because he had a different plan in mind. After giving him a little instruction, he painted some really great pictures.

We let brother join in the fun.
My Dad matted and framed them and they look perfect in the room.I LOVE them!

Interview about Mom

Clayton did this at school and some of the answers are right on, and some ummm???

My Mom is 31 years old.
My Mom's hair is brown.
My Mom has green eyes.
All day long my Mom sleeps.
My Mom likes to go to the store.
My Mom's favorite food is everything.
If I had a million dollars, I would buy my Mom a shirt.
My Mom loves me because she takes me to the store.
I love my Mom so much because she loves me.

I am now worried that Clayton's teacher thinks I sleep and eat all day. That would be nice, but clearly not the case. Plus, a million dollar shirt would be AWESOME! So funny! Love this boy!

Mother's Day

We celebrated our day with two of the greatest mother's ever! I don't have pictures to prove it, but it happened. We went to church with Gigi (Joel's mom) and then brunch. After brunch, Joel let me take a nap (the best gift of all). In the afternoon we headed to Nonna's house (my mom) and celebrated the evening with her. Our Moms mean the world to us and we loved spending the day with them. My picture taking has decreased the larger I get, so for some reason, all I have is pictures of the kids on the slip'n'slide. No pictures of any mothers exist in this post.

Birthday celebration #2 intertwined with Mother's Day.

Hapy Birthday to ME!

The BIG 3-2. Where has the time gone? I told Joel this morning that I have officially known him for 18 years. Didn't we just meet the other day? 18 years?? I had a really great birthday. Joel made it super special for me. He made me breakfast which consisted of cinnamon rolls and bacon..YUM! The boys gave me a giftcard to my favorite store...TARGET! Then, he let me loose for the rest of the day while he spent the day at Chuck E Cheese with the boys. I had a great lunch with my best friend, Hillary, at the Cheesecake Factory and then we had awesome pedicures. We then shopped at North Park for a little bit where I got some new lip gloss. Clothes shopping is not so much when you look and feel like a whale. Then I met my Mom for some more shopping. Our goals were to find Elliot's "going home" outfit and clothes for me post baby. We accomplished the first of the two and he is going to be so cute in his little outfit. After getting home, I went to dinner with my boys at Pasado's (had an all nighter with heartburn after this).

This is my birthday/mother's day/push present/we actually got a tax return this year gift. I am so excited about it and cannot wait until it arrives.

Hillary gave me a Coach purse. I could not believe it. I have never or thought would I ever have a purse that cost more than $15. I love it. I still cannot believe she got this for me.
My pretty toes after my pedicure. I have only had three pedicures in my life and this one was the best. I was going to have Joel start painting my toes, but I think this turned out much better.

My sisters got me a membership to Costco. I cannot wait to go. I have been wanting this for a long time. My brother got me a giftcard to Target which I can add to my other one.

What a GREAT birthday! I have another birthday celebration with the Halpin Family girls on Tuesday and cannot wait.

Fun Afternoon with Owen

Owen has had a lot going on at his house this past week, so we decided to have a super fun all boy afternoon (well except for me). It was filled with stick finding, water splashing, mud stomping and tons and tons of running. I love how these boys have so much energy. Even after two hours of running, they still had it in them to race to the car. Whew!!

The Kings of the Playground--at least that is what they told me.
running.........and more running. The forced pose in the pretty wild flowers.
Fishing for mud with sticks.

A super muddy boy! After a change of clothes for everyone in the car (sock and shoe removal, mud cleansing from faces and hands...you name it) we made a phone call to our favorite Gigi and had her meet us at one of our favorite places. Don't tell Owen's mommy, but we headed to Braum's. We couldn't end our fun afternoon without some ice cream!!! So, we had dessert before dinner.

.....and we enjoyed every single bite!!
Thanks, Owen for spending the afternoon with us! We had the best time.
