Lights, Camera, Action

We have a friend who works for Blue Fish TV and they are doing a video on Finances. He asked to interview both me and Joel for the video and today was my day. It was a little nerve wracking because I had no idea what kind of questions they were going to ask, plus I am scared how I am going to look on camera adding 10 more pounds to my already large self. Hopefully they just got my head. The exciting part about this video is that they are interviewing Dave Ramsey also, so I could be on the same video as he is. Super cool! It was exciting to share our story on how we were in so much debt and were able to come out two years later being debt free. It would love for others to see how there is hope and it can be done.

House turned studio

The interview may be so bad that they scratch the whole thing...we shall see.

Backyard Friends

This is what we have hopping around in our backyard...

When Joel was mowing the backyard, all of these tiny bunnies came hopping out of their home. Joel had to scoop them all up and put them back so he wouldn't mow over them. They are so tiny.

Cloth Diapered

I finally took the plunge. I told myself I would go cloth as soon as his cord and plastibell fell off. Well, that happened last week. Then, I told myself I would do it as soon as I finished off a bag of diapers. Then, when that happened, I told myself I would do it on Monday. It is always best to start something new on Monday, right??? At this point, I may never go cloth. So, I decided to just go for it. And...it hasn't been so bad. I am actually listening to my first load spinning in the washer now. I had more than enough to last me for two days. They aren't as bulky as I thought they would be.

Plus, this boy is two weeks old. I cannot believe it! He weighed 8 lbs. 12 ozs. today and was 22 inches long. He is gaining over an ounce a day. He will have those chunky rubberband thighs in no time!! He is obviously a good eater and so laid back. He kind of has to be laid back to survive in this household. The two week mark has really caught up to me. I have been doing so much to entertain the other boys that I am finally pooped out. I am tired and my body is tired, so I am going to stay home and rest tomorrow and the weekend. This super mom is taking off her cape for now.

First Bath

Bath Day!! I kept waiting for the time to arrive when we could all be together to give Elliot his first bath, but he may be one by the time that happens. I decided to go ahead and do it by myself. His cord and plastibell fell of last Friday, so it was time. He wasn't too fond of it though. I think he may have been wanting to eat instead of take a bath.

I never knew how there was enough room in my heart to love three boys so much. My heart is HUGE!!!

First Day at Church

Our church is not dressy by any means, but I am a lover of the baby bubble and cute embroidered things. Elliot has nowhere to really wear these things, so church seemed like the best place. With the first baby you spend 8 weeks indoors before you leave the house. With the third baby, you head out the door the first chance you get. Church seemed like a good place for our first true outing.
Look at this sweet baby in his bubble and bonnet.

Happy Father's Day.....

.....to the best Dad of the best boys.

Clayton and Oliver's favorite things to do with their dad are wrestle, go to sonic, and get movies from Redbox. Every night when he comes home Oliver runs to our bed and says "Daddy, wets westle." Love it!

Summer S'mores

What you need to make summer s'mores:
1. Have a bag of strawberry marshmallows and other s'more ingredients
2. Two very eager boys
3. A gas stove
5. S'more skewers from the dollar section at Target.

Eat and enjoy!

Happy 8th, Em!

My niece, Emily, turned eight this week. Hard to believe. She has grown up so much this past year. She had a super fun birthday party at the splash park....so much fun to have a summer birthday.
Happy Birthday!!!
Oliver had a blast on the crazy rope playground.
Just hangin' around.

Brown-eyed buddies.
Elliot came to the party for a few minutes, then hung out with Daddy indoors.

One Week Old

One week ago....I fell in love.....

....head over heels.
Elliot, you are such a good baby. You rarely cry. You have slept 5 hours during the night for the past two nights. You pretty much sleep and eat, sleep and eat, sleep and eat.....I love you so much! This week has flown by and I am trying to soak up every moment with you being so tiny. I know it will go by so quickly.

Splish, Splash!

Cousins Owen and Noah got a new super fun swing set/water park. They invited Oliver over today for some fun in the sun! He had a blast. I was so thankful to get out of the house and sit on a different couch for a while. Elliot enjoyed some snuggle time with his Aunt Rachel.

"Wuvin' on Ewwiit"

I was a little worried about how Oliver would take to his brother. What was I worried about??

When I was getting ready this morning, Oliver was busy taking care of his "brudder". I thought it was really funny. He made sure he had plenty of toys to play with.
