I'm a BIG Boy Now

Guess who's potty trained..............

I have tried several times over the past couple of months and it only lasted a couple of hours, but this time it stuck!!!!  It helps to have two big brother helpers and cheerleaders.  I could not believe how much they helped and encouraged him.  Clayton has gotten him out of bed a few times (not because I asked him too, he just heard him wake up before I did), took his diaper off, had him sit on the potty and got underwear on him.  Such a great helper!!  I don't think I could've done it without the two big boys help! It was a very long week spent at home, but it was well worth it.  He is still having a few accidents here and there and he is not ready to just be let lose, but for the most part, he is doing so well. He even wakes up dry in the mornings!!!!  WOO-HOO!  We are so proud of you, Els!!!!!  Next step, big boy bed!

Back to School

First Day of School!

4th grader

 1st Grader

And this little guy who wanted in on the fun!
 Mrs. Owens.  LOVE HER!!

Mrs. Conner.  This is the last time I will walk Clayton in on his first day.  His last year in elementary school.  :(.  All the teachers were commenting on how tall he has gotten over the summer.  I haven't really noticed, I guess.
I know they are having a fun day!  We are having a quiet day of grocery shopping and hanging out at home.  I may even read a book!  LOVELY!!

What do you do......

When there are two days left of summer vacation and we are going stir crazy? We go bonkers!!!!!!!! Love this place!

Meet the teacher

"School days, school days, back to school once more.  We just love school new things to explore."
(Some song I used to play on the piano.)

The boys have NOT been wanting to go back to school.  This summer has been full of so much activity for them and they have had a blast.  Disney World, Sea World, SMAK, Camp, VBS, swimming, Schlitterbahn, snow cones, sleeping late, staying up late.  It has been a wild and crazy summer.  But, alas, time for school to start boys.  We need some routine around here.

I always get nervous to meet Clayton's teacher.  It is just the unknown.  He is the top dog this year.  This will be his last year in elementary school.  This was his last meet the teacher.  He was so excited though.  He could not wait to meet his teacher.  He said, "I am just going to go casual this year so she will know what I really look like."  Ha!  So funny!  Like I usually make him wear a suit and tie.  We knew his best friend Caleb was going to be in his class, but to our surprise, his other best friend Avery was in his class too.  His teacher was super sweet and I think he is going to have and AMAZING year.

First grade for Oliver.  He was so excited to have a locker.  He is so shy when he gets around new people and would not talk to his teacher.  Mrs. Owens was Clayton first grade teacher and we already love and adore her.  We are so excited that Oliver has her.  Elliot was two months old when Clayton was starting in Mrs. Owens class.  Tear!
Here's to another AWESOME school year!!!

Vacation Day 4: Home

When we planned this trip, we knew that Round Rock Donuts would be on the "things to do" list.  If you have seen "Man vs. Food" then you have heard of Round Rock Donuts.  Funny thing is that the episode just came on tonight.

Look at this GIANT donut.

No, Clayton is not eating this by himself.  We got one to share.

Elliot chose a cupcake because it had a lightning McQueen ring on top of it.  Gets us every time!

Sad to be back home.  It means that summer is almost over!

Vacation Day 3 :The River

We spent Saturday tubing the Comal.  The rest of the fams wanted to go shop the town of New Braunfuls and that just really did not sound fun to me.  Especially with three boys (make that four) in tow.  Macey decided she wanted to go with us.  We had a BLAST.  Clayton again said this was the best two hours of his life.  Love him!  Elliot loved being in his own tube at first, but we went down a big rapid and he was not having it after that.  He loved just chillin' in mine or Joel's raft.  Wish we would've know that before we spent money on his own tube.  With him, you never know.  If we hadn't gotten him his own tube, he would've wanted to sit in his own tube.  We looked at it as insurance.

It was a relaxing fun day!  We went back to the house for more fishing, swimming and another late night of playing a HILARIOUS game!!!  Love my LOUD and FUNNY family!!!  The cousins had so much fun together too.
