Oliver pulled two teeth on one day!!! These were his first teeth to lose. He was the only one in his first grade class that hadn't lost a tooth. He has had one really wiggly tooth for a month now. The tooth has already come in behind it. Today he was tearing apart some tape with his teeth and it really loosened the two bottom teeth up. He was scared at first, but after a minute, he just grabbed the tooth and just pulled it right out. He then started working on the other tooth. We were all cheering him on. We celebrated with sonic shakes and then the tooth fairy came!!!

We planted cucumber seeds back in April. We also planted watermelon, strawberries, lettuce, onions, jalapenos and peppermint. We did not have high hopes for any of them because we have no idea what we are doing. We were just hoping something would take. The lettuce quickly died, the onions were victims of our lovely dog who kept digging them up, the watermelon..another victim to the dog. The jalapeno plant looks the exact same as it did when we planted it, the strawberry plant has made a few tiny strawberries. The peppermint plant is finally flourishing under the shadows of the giant cucumber plant. It must like shade. The cucumber has gone CRAZY!!!! But, we have had no cucumber. We had tons and tons of flowers that looked like it should be producing cucumber, but alas, no cucumbers. I finally looked it up and I had no idea how a cucumber plant works. Here is a lovely science lesson for you or a lesson on the birds and the bees. There are male flowers and female flowers on the plant and the female has to be pollinated in order to grow a cucumber. You will start of with a bunch more male flowers. They grow 10 to 1. In order to have cucumbers, you must have bees. So, I was looking at the plant this week and I could hear it buzzing. I looked underneath and there were bees everywhere. They were working really hard to make cucumbers for us. It was pretty cool to see them go in and get the pollen and then move to the next flower. Then, I started seeing these tiny little cucumbers. So EXCITING!!! I am just surprised that this giant cucumber plant grew from a package of $.89 cucumber seeds.
The cucumber plant is starting to wrap around the gate.
Here is a little strawberry!

Oliver was in the Advanced class this year. They learn new strokes, increase their endurance, perfect their stroke and learn fun things off the diving board such as flips, dives, and back dives. They first jump in with their clothes to see what it would feel like if they accidentally fell in the pool and what they need to do. They had to tread water for a long time and back float for a long time. Oliver's favorite part is doing flips off of the diving board. I can't believe how fearless this boy is. You did an AWESOME job, Ols!

Elliot has never been afraid of the water. He just knew that in order to even be near the water, he had to have his floaties on. We had a scare last year of him getting in the pool without us knowing and we are so thankful that he was okay. But, no floaties equals no pool around here. So, when we took him to swimming lessons without his floaties, he was not a fan. He said he could not swim without his floaties and he could not be in the pool without his floaties. Every day we would go through this. He was scared of swimming lessons every day....until day 7 (out of 9). It just clicked. All of the sudden, he could swim. Like really swim. He was jumping off the diving board all by himself and swimming to the side. AMAZING. My aunt teaches swimming and she is incredible. He even did the super scary back float for seven seconds all by himself. I was SO proud of him.
Way to go, BIG BOY!!!

Happy father's Day! We have some pretty incredible, amazing, awesome Dads to celebrate! We the afternoon with my Dad and the evening with Joel's Dad. Sadly, my phone (camera) battery was dead before we got to Gigi and Grandpa's house, so I don't have any pictures. It says nothing about how much fun we had!!! We had a blast swimming ALL DAY LONG! And eating!!!

Not even a tear shed. I was shocked. Clayton had to get blood drawn and had to get two needle pokes and he did great too! We celebrated with our favorite summer time treat. The QT! Elliot weighed in at 40.5 lbs (89%) and is 42.8 inches tall (93%).

Crying out for a miracle over here. Praying boldly for the new PAIR process not to take as long as they think. Pressing into God because my heart is sad and it aches.
"Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;
O LORD, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy."Psalms 130:1-2
"I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope."Psalms 130:5

Four years old. That is so BIG! And you think you are Bigger than Oliver and Clayton. You state this on a daily basis. You want to do EVERYTHING all by yourself, which takes A LOT of patience on my part. You talk, talk, talk, talk (at least at home). You still cling to my leg a bit out in unfamiliar places. I will soak that all up because I know it will change quickly. You will still climb in my lap and snuggle. So BIG, but still so little. You are so sweet, so BOY, so imaginative, so loving. Your laugh is so contagious and so precious. You love fruit snacks and more fruit snacks.
We had the BEST time celebrating your birthday with you. We let you choose exactly what you wanted to do for the whole day.
First stop, Donuts!!! Chocolate with sprinkles.
I LOVE how excited you got over a pack of hot wheels. This boy LOVES cars and car tracks.
We then headed to the zoo. You were in charge of the map and you were in charge of where we went next. You LOVE being in charge. Your favorite part of the zoo was the Lions. We got to see them up super close because they were laying against the window.
We are so thankful that the zoo has water to splash around it. It was HOT!!!
We had to stop by the birds because it is Oliver's favorite part. Elliot wanted nothing to do with the birds. I am right with you, Els. I wouldn't have gone in if the other two didn't have to have a parent with them.
You LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the carousel. "I want to ride that circle thing". We hear that over and over again. I think this might be your favorite part of the zoo and we always save the best for last.
We then headed to the Zoo McDonald's as you requested. This McDonald's did not disappoint. It is filled with giant animals that make noise. It is pretty fancy with a Giant play land. We stayed here for several hours.
We then had to go to swimming lessons. Yesterday at swimming lessons (the first day) you kept telling Haw-Haw that you weren't big and you couldn't do what she was asking you to do, but when you turned four, you were BIG and you tried everything at swimming lesson. Dinner was at CiCi's. Gigi met us there for a fun filled dinner. You picked Cici's for the arcade not for the food. Ha! Thankfully, Gigi came prepared with dollars for the arcade.
You wanted a Ninjago cake. You could not stop talking about your Ninjago cake. So, Clayton helped out and picked out a new Ninjago for you for your birthday and even built it for you.
Then, PRESENTS!!!!!! I love at this age that you were perfectly happy with that set of hotwheels that you got this morning. But, we got you a racetrack that you have been asking for. The cars go super fast and it is super fun! We stayed up until 10pm celebrating you. You were so sad to have to go to bed. You didn't want the day to end.
