Let's Go Cowboys!!!

This boy is on FIRE!  He is fast and it has finally clicked for him this year.  He made two touchdowns his first game and has pulled many flags.  It is so fun to watch him.

 Headed for his first touchdown!

Getting play instructions from his Coach Dad
 2nd Touchdown!!!

It is going to be a fun season!

Let's Go Colts!!!

I LOVE football and I LOVE watching my boys play football.  It is my favorite sport (to watch, not to play).  This year Clayton is playing for the Colts.  It is fun to watch this group of kids because they are finally to an age where they get it.  And, Caleb is on his team (his best friend).  I think next year, we are going for tackle football.  Clayton is a tank and could take down some peeps!

Best buds looking at the dirt during half time.

Empowered to Connect

I am so excited to be heading to Houston today for the Empowered to Connect conference.  I have been wanting to go to this for a while and it finally worked out that it was not too far away.  Plus, my awesome friend, Carrie is going with me!!  I will take any excuse to take a road trip with Carrie.  Empowered to Connect teaches adoptive families about attachment and bonding so we will be as ready as we can to connect with Annie when she comes home....if I can even remember anything I learned at that point.  I guess I need to take really good notes!!!

Waiting Here for You

I am obsessed with this song right now.  I LOVE it!  I play it over and over and over.  It is where I am right now.  I am waiting here for Him.  But, while I wait, I trust in his promises.  I adore Him.  My hands are lifted high in praise.  The wait does not change who He is to me.  He can move mountains.  He is faithful and I am desperate for Him.

My Oldest

This boy is changing.  In a good way, but changing.  He's growing (he is an inch away from being my height)  and maturing.  I see glimpses of him as a grown man who is loving, caring, motivated, a good husband, an incredible father and a strong leader.  This school year is all new for him.  Way more difficult than it has been in the past.  New people...well, all new.  He has taken it on like a Rock Star.  His first week in Math he had a 70 average for the week.  I talked to him about it and he said, "it will be okay.  I think I've figured it out".  Sure enough, the next week, back up to an 89.  He is self-confident, he Loves BIG, he is HILARIOUS and sarcastic (which sometimes gets him into trouble), he is compassionate and determined. He will step in and take care of his brothers.  He will sometimes let Elliot climb into bed with him and when Elliot falls asleep, he will carry him to his bed and tuck him in.  Of course, he is still only 10 years old and has a lot of growing up to do, but I just love the person that he is becoming.  I am proud to be his Mom.  And, Joel is THRILLED that his son is big enough to mow the lawn.  Clayton charges $3 in case you are looking for a new lawn man. :)

Little Soccer Player

This little guy has been so excited to play soccer this year.  He has been cheering on his brothers in sports for his whole little life and now it is his turn.  He LOVES it!  He laughs and smiles the entire practice.  Even during water breaks, he just wants to keep going.  We love this boy!!!!

Fire Dragons

The first soccer game of the season and someone is soooo EXCITED!!!  He was ready to make some goals.  I am so sad that the exposure is all wrong on all of the pictures.  Next time the sun is blaring in my face for an hour, I will have camera on auto mode!

This is his first goal of the season.  And, sadly, the only goal for the Fire Dragons the whole game.  It was basically us vs. #10 on their team.  No one else had a chance with the ball at all.  Elliot did not take this too well.

He needed lots of pep talks from his Daddy and his older brother!  He also didn't feel that he should be sitting out for some of the game, so he would randomly hop up and join the game.  So funny...Love 4 year old soccer.

 The cutest fire dragon EVER!!!

He would do this every time #10 scored and then he would throw his fists down. Then he would look at us like he was about to cry.   He did not like it!  Not one bit!  He is our aggressive/competive one.  Guess it comes with being the baby brother!

I am looking forward to the season!  So much fun!  I am also looking forward to some cooler weather.  Not too cool, but just Cooler than 100 degrees!  Is that too much to ask!
